camping trip invitations?
I am planning a camping trip with a whole bunch of my friends. I really like creating cards; so, I was going to make my own invitations. I have ton of cardstock and cardstock scraps that I was looking into using. I am not really interetsed in buying a bunch of stuff for it (i thought about buying scrapbooking stuff for them). But its for about 15 people; so it has to be something simple and easy to make copies of. ANY IDEAS??
You might be able to find a digital stamp image online — there are free ones — and use that to make your invitation. You could also get a stamp with a camping theme like maybe a tent or a campfire, and use that. Use paper in forest-y colors like various greens and browns, and print up the time and place part from your computer. You could include directions on how to get to the campground and what you’re supplying.
I make a lot of cards. One of my favorite “recipes” is to use one piece of 8 1/2 X 11 cardstock to make two cards. I cut it in half the so that I have a strip of paper that is 4.25″ by 11″ and fold that in half. If you want a top fold card, cut the 11″ side instead. Then I cut a piece of contrasting paper to be 3.75″ by 5″ and stamp a simple image on white paper with a margin around it that’s smaller than the width on the contrasting sheet. Here’s where you would stamp your campfire or whatever. I have an owl stamp that would be cute. You mount the image on top of the contrasting paper then tie a little piece of ribbon below it. You could put some buttons or rhinestones or whatever you like below it. I have a little punch that’s a star with two slits for ribbon to slide through. Three stars on that makes a nice embellishment. Then inside you adhere your time, date, etc printed from your computer. Sometimes when I make invitations, I put directions on the back.
